Meet Our Mathematics Peer Mentors

Our Mathematics Peer Mentors are successful veteran Mathematics Fellows who provide support to 3-4 current Math Fellows through:

  • Observing SI sessions and providing valuable feedback from the session 
  • Leading problem-solving and brainstorming group sessions with their assigned Fellows
  • Assisting with all communication between math Fellows and faculty supervisors
  • Providing any needed support for their assigned Fellows (course content, relationship with Faculty Mentor, new ideas for SI sessions, required documentation, etc.) 

The following students are our SPRING 2020 Mathematics Peer Mentors

Areanna Orozco 

Areanna is a senior from Haleyville, Alabama, majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education. She loves hanging out with friends, playing with dogs, and binge-watching Netflix cooking shows.[^ Top] 
  
  
Chase Holcombe 
Chase is a senior from Florence, Alabama, and is double majoring in Mathematics and Economics. On campus, Chase is a member of the LaGrange Society and the Student Government Association. In his free time, he is an active member of his church and enjoys reading, traveling, and cheering on UNA’s sports teams.

  

  

Elizabeth Siemen 

Elizabeth is a Nursing major who loves to travel.  When she is not traveling, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her two dogs.  [^ Top]
